Dear Buhari: A Nation’s Farewell Letter to an Aging Leader Time to Rest, Time for Change

Uncategorized

Written Long Time Ago.

Dear Buhari,

Greetings. I do not believe I should write a lengthy letter to you (I hope to keep it short). I do love you so much. Don’t mind all these people pushing you to keep going.

This letter will be the shortest (may I keep my promise in this journey to the P.S). Why?

‘Cos for a start you shouldn’t be bothering your old head reading Instaletterz. You should be sleeping in your comfort in Daura Farms. Drinking milk and eating cheese.

Too old. Too weak. Too slow.

Surely we deserve better. As a nation, you will agree with me that the people are fantastically corrupt. You attested to this and we listened as we voted out GEJ and PDP.

Now you are not in shape to fight corruption. The only place you should be fighting now is in your dreams. Those spiritual attackers that come to tempt people in the sleep.

Cos you ought to be having long naps. The first time you came, back in 2015 it was obvious that dementia was already setting in. You didn’t know the full meaning of APC, in a live international broascast.

It was an embarrassment we risked. We just wanted GEJ out. Now we just want you in.

In your bed. Resting.

APC is for Lagos. And will always be. However time to return the Federal power to PDP.

Let’s not start counting the sins of this administration. No need. Every Nigerian saw the change.

You even told us it begins with us.

You were right. Now we will start by changing the goverment.

If for nothing. Just to make a statement that in Nigeria its people are like Madrid, Barcelona and Old Chelsea. Where the coach is changed at the slightest flop.

Never again will eight years be a birthright. Four years, take it, do great or leave it. In your case first four years was used to do a census for cows while you went about being stubborn.

Mr. President you will live long but you won’t be in our eyes passed this time. We have another man we are willing to test.

This is the first of many letters I am sending your way. My ink will do more papers to you.

Your Walking Stick Spotter,

Ediale

PS: If only cows could vote, then thou will win.
