Big Bird & Tha Viper: Seun Kuti and Vector Ignite a New Era of Afrobeat–Rap Revolution A Creative Call to Dream, Build, and Take Action
Dear You.
Afrobeat star Seun Kuti and rapper Vector Tha Viper teamed up for a groundbreaking collaborative EP titled “Big Bird & Tha Viper.”
The project blends Seun’s fiery Afrobeat energy with Vector’s sharp lyrical delivery. The EP, which contains six tracks, is already creating waves for its bold messages and powerful fusion of sound that bridges generations of African music.
Some works went into this project.
In The Beginning God Created The Heavens And The Earth.
In the beginning of projects, you really would want to follow after the God of Heavens and Earth.
You must decide to CREATE.
And when you decide to create you must decide creating the heaven and earth of your projects.
What does that mean?
First this reminds us that God started something big from nothing.
And as such he began with creation.
Be intentional, be creative and visionary.
You must decide to create dont just wait for things to form. Dont wait for things to happen. Take action. Start starting, stop stopping.
Begin building something.
And when you decide to create you must decide creating the heaven and earth of your projects.
Every project has two parts:
The Heavens = your vision, dreams, ideas, and inspiration.
The Earth = your actions, structure, and physical results.
So you must balance both — dream big and also build something real.
All I am saying this morning is “Start your projects like God did. With creativity, vision, and deliberate action that connects your dreams (heaven) with your reality (earth).
It’s another start of a beautiful week.
As you pray, doing the heavily part. You must also implement and (do the earthly part).
There’s a saying that goes thus, “stop building castles in the sky”.
But I will disagree.
I will recommend that you:
“Build your castles in the sky, then put the foundations under them.”
Dream.
Dream big.
Imagine big things.
Imagination helps your vision.
It’s what you see that your mind helps you achieve.
But don’t just build in the sky. Put in the works that will make the plan solid and real.
Until you work it out. It’s only a dream.
Dreams are like Heavens Without Earth. It’s like God building the Heavens Without Earth.
Go and work.

PS: The body of work features exciting collaborations with artists such as Made Kuti, Odumodublvck, Vic Mensa, and Talib Kweli, highlighting its rich mix of African and international influences. Tracks like “Opp(s),” “The Matter,” and “Higher Consciousness” showcase a unique blend of live instrumentation, jazz-inspired horns, and hard-hitting rap verses. The duo uses their music as a tool to provoke thought, inspire unity, and challenge systems of oppression.
On “Opp(s)” featuring Odumodublvck, they tackle everyday struggles; from bad governance and economic hardship to personal battles in relationships and survival. Each song carries a dose of social consciousness, reminding listeners of music’s power to question, resist, and heal. “The Matter” continues in the same vein, with both artists dropping truth-driven verses over rich Afrobeat rhythms.
Beyond music, “Big Bird & Tha Viper” represents a symbolic union of two powerful voices for change; Seun Kuti, the son of Fela and a defender of the people, and Vector, one of Nigeria’s most thoughtful lyricists. Together, they deliver an album that is not only entertaining but also deeply reflective of Africa’s social realities. It’s a modern protest record, wrapped in rhythm and rhyme; one that redefines what collaboration between rap and Afrobeat can truly sound like.
