Na Hustle: The Dirty Truth Behind the Masks We Wear
Dear You.
You know what?
Sometimes I see people exhibiting dark characters and attitudes.
At the center of every bit of the shenanigans they push, I see someone trying to live the way they know how to.
We are all humans.
Just hustling.
“Na hustle.”
You have heard and seen politicians do their thing.
They promise heaven and earth. They even tell you to call them names if they fail.
When they fail, you call them names. They jail you if you are lucky. If you aren’t lucky, they do more dangerous things to you.
“Na hustle.”
You have seen influencers rise from being truthful to then being capitalists.
They act and behave like they care.
They have your trust.
They milk it.
Until they start selling you “bad” things.
All for the money.
“Na hustle.”
It’s difficult to compare the person Oshiomhole once was and the person he now is.
We remember him as the loudest and most concerned Labour Union president ever.
Until he became a politician.
And we discovered…
“Na hustle.”
Just strategic hustle.
Strategically, “Our Mumu Don Do” became “Our Pocket Don Full.”
Charly Boy and his goons pushed that “trade” until they paid Charly Boy and division set in among the comrades.
“Na hustle.”
We were shocked. We didn’t know. In the voice of Patience Jonathan, “we weren’t informed too” that it was “hustle.”
See Portable dragging Lege Miami.
If not for Portable, we probably wouldn’t know that “payment” has started.
“Payment Don Start.”
Portable is unhappy with his own share.
He wants N50m.
He believes Lege is shortchanging him.
The hustle is hustling the hustle.
“Na hustle.”
The saddest thing these days is when an activist falls short in integrity.
When someone we know and trust for his or her voice ends up cashing out against the formerly presumed “convictions.”
Now, I genuinely understand these guys eventually.
Cos…
“Man must wack.”
Man must feed.

PS: Humans of the earth, VDM is also human. Don’t be too surprised to understand or uncover some sprinkling of “na hustle” in his calling. At the end of the day, dude is human. And while at that, he has done some daring things for the good of other humans. That will always also count. That’s why I believe he is a necessity. We need like 36 of him more.
