President Goodluck lost the elections because he was weak and kept on making statements like this.
This is the President of the country.
What is he saying here.
This is weakness.
This is not Damage Control.
This is Damage.
1. No sentence in the statement says anything has been done.
2. The sentences are similar to the ones someone like me should make. Not the President. “Enough is Enough” that’s a line for protesters.
3. No action. ” I have directed the securityagencies…” that is not action. It’s appalling. “The security agencies have made the following arrests…” is more like it. This evokes helplessness and hopelessness.
4. How many people lost their lives before they declared State Of Emergency on Rivers State?
5. No action. No arrest. Nothing at all…Just English. A class rep of a school in Benue could have written this and some of the classmates would still be right to have consider the letter “empty”.
