Julius Has A score To Settle With AY
Dear You.AY is successful.
About the most successful comedian out there. Don’t think we can count the top 3 richest comedians and omit his name. Obviously, he is from a poor home. In that same light, he was very audacious and creative. He was savvy and had his organizing game on a good point. Julius Agwu is his senior colleague.
If AY was a fan and apprentice of Basket Mouth then definitely Julius had to be way senior. Because Basket Mouth met Julius Agwu when he wasn’t yet Basket Mouth. When he still needed someone to introduce him to Julius. According to Julius, he offered Basket Mouth a platform when someone begged him.
They told him Basket was funny. And he obliged, afterward he said he agreed that Basket was indeed funny. He did well.If you still have any doubt about who is the industry elder among AY and Julius I will give you one more point. The first time you saw E-money on AY’s show, he was E-money. The first time you saw the same person on Julius Agwu’s Music Comedy video titled Everybody Show Your Handwork.
What you saw would be nothing close to E-money, for all you’d see would be a long neck. The E and Mo were off. Remaining just NEY. Ney means nothing. And that explains E-money’s state at that time. E-money was not as wealthy then. But life happened, today AY is richer in terms of money. But we all know we can’t measure wealth just with what you have in the bank or the money you have at hand.
True wealth is beyond naira and kobo. Agwu had his days and opportunities. AY milked and took his own to another level. AY made his wealth by taking his chances and opportunities. If Basket Mouth was the only way to comedy growth, AY would have failed. But Basket is not God, even though he is a self-acclaimed beast.
And so AY flourished. When Julius Agwu called AY on phone to speak about AY’s Easter Show clashing with his own Easter show. Agwu said AY dropped the call on him. There’s a business lesson to learn from there. But what we have noted is the grudge is still being carried by Mr. Agwu. He narrated that story from a place of pain. He wasnt happy at the disrespect. But will you blame AY?Your Business Lesson spotter Ediale #ForTheCulture PS: At times we don’t need to be sentimental once we are looking for our daily bread. So long we do not sin against God and man.
