Advice: Solution Series, Ediale Kingsley

Dear You.

To that woman who wanted me to teach her son how to make good use of his writing gifts.

The woman that contacted me many years ago. Say 2 or 3 years ago.

I don’t think your son was ready for me.

I wasn’t also ready for him.

But now I am ready.

And I hope he is already in the Broadcast List of persons waiting to gulp from me in the name of Storytelling PR or Storytelling Marketing.

Whatever the name.

It’s basically how to write stories.

Most especially how to earn from the stories.

Everything starts from positioning.

Then writing.

Writing a lot.

And sharing the writings with people.

Because writers write.

The only way to get better at writing is actually writing.

Do you know why there’s no school in the world where they teach how to eat?

It’s because since we landed from the womb. We have been eating.

Sorry scratch that.

The first time I saw Andrea was when she was still in the mom’s womb.

The last trimester of pregnancy.

We carried out a scan.

And there.

Andrea was shown eating.

The doc said she is eating.

I saw her moving her mouth.

So that’s why we dont go to school to learn how to eat.

We started eating before we landed here. And we continued eating everyday.

The hand is never tired of lifting food to the mouth. The whole eating practicals just work seamlessly. What to chew. The mouth chews. What to swallow. The mouth swallows.

To master writing. You need to write every day.

The student writer who isn’t writing and displaying the write-ups because of imperfection isn’t ready to grow and develop.

Good grammar or proper grammatical structure is not the top 5 things that will make you a good storyteller. Yes, it’s somewhere around the top 10.

I am saying this because I don’t want you to come to class and not participate fully in the practicals.

A storyteller without storylistener(s) is worthless and useless. So come prepared to write and show the world. You will write. You will make the appropriate posts. And not be shy. From imperfection, you will grow to perfection (if that word exists).

Rather than being a perfect writer. I prefer you are seen as a great storyteller. It’s not the same thing. Thats the difference between Ediale and many others. When I am in my element. I write for your soul. And irrespective of the length. The readers can stop until they are done reading and wishing why did the PS come so soon.

That’s writing.

Not big grammar. Not little grammar.

Writing is creative construction. But the approach must not be mechanical. The read must not be tiring. Don’t write people to sleep. Don’t be boring.

Well… we meet in class.

To that woman. You son wants to be a poet. That’s a good sign. At first great writers first think they are poets. Until they find their calling. I hope he is ready. I know you will see this. You do not miss my posts.
